The drum mixer is one of the important equipment in the sintering process system. It is mainly used for damping and blending the sintered materials that have been appropriately proportioned in advance, to make the moisture, and the ingredients of the materials are uniformly mixed and the particulate materials in the sintered materials are combined into suitable pellets. According to its structural characteristics, drum mixers can be classified as the primary drum mixers whose main function is to mix and damp the material and the secondary drum mixers to granulate the material to make the material conform to the requirement of uniform composition, moderate moisture, and good air permeability. Working Principle of Drum Mixers:

The drum mixer is driven by the main motor through the main reducer to drive the pinion to engage with the large girth gear to transmit power and drive the drum of the mixer to rotate. The material enters the cylinder from the feed end ( high end of the cylinder). Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material is tumbling in the circumferential direction and move axially from the feed end to the discharge end. (From high end to low end), and then complete the mixing, granulation and other processes. Finally, the material enters the next step process through the discharge device.
